Can you use a syringe over and over if you clean it with alcohol?

?
Answer:
Can you? - yes.
Should you? - NO!!
Always use a new one!!!!!
The syringe, yes, but not the needle, but neither are really recommended
No. First of all alcohol does not kill all types of bacteria and viruses. Secondly the inside of the syringe is almost impossible to clean even with sterilization techniques due to the plastic material used. Third, when the cost of a plastic syringe is so low there is no need to put yourself in danger.
Always use a new one, ALWAYS, regardless of use, illegal or no, syringes can be picked up free of charge in a lot of clinics. Alcohol doesn't get rid of a lot of pathogens, this requires UV radiation and heat which is why they are always cleaned in autoclaves. It's not just HIV or somilar pathogens, one of the most common ways of getting Hepatitis is to share needles.
You can use a syring over and over without cleaning it at all if you want, but you'll probably be dead within a few years if you make a habit of it, alcohol or not.
yes you can but it will get blunt very quickly the smaller ones will splinter and do alot of damage to your skin and nerves
For injection purposes, the use of the alcohol has no impact on avoiding infection so reusing of syringe after cleaning with alcohol won't be safe. So if you are using reusable syringes, it has to be properly sterilized before reusing it.Disposable syringes are designed not to be reused and sterilizing them usually makes it not to work well.
Insulin syringes maybe reused by the same person but the problem is the needle because insulin syringes these days are usually with built in needles.Sterilizing it will make the syringe not to work well and if you choose to just clean it with alcohol there is no guarantee to its safety plus if you wilpe the needle with alcohol it will remove the lubricant designed to help the needle pass through the skin more gently and actually inject a piece of steel into the skin which will be really painful.
If a syringe is to be used for giving oral drops to a child, it may need to be washed and dried well (but much safer if it is sterilized) before reusing it provided it is used by the same child.
If a syringe is to be used to measure liquid medicines, then it can be reused as long as it is washed and kept clean.
OMG.Under no circumstance recycle a syringe. Used syringes and the sharps are classified as a BIOHAZARD
for the same person yes..but why should u?
No, alcohol isn't a good cleaning solution for that purpose. I have some of my grandfather's syringes and needles, but we've progressed a long way since then. Some diabetics can get a little extra use out of their syringes, but it isn't worth the risk of infection for the vast majority.
YES
No.
Cleaning with alcohol does not help. Alcohol is a poor cleaning agent like everyone said. Residual chemical in a syringe may become toxic under exposure of air/light/bacteria. For medical quipments, we clean them with specialized cleaning solution and soak them for at least 2-3 days before we can use them again.
Also, do not use the needle over and over again. Needle wears, and if you look at it microscopically, the more time you use it, the more little breaks in the metal will be there, causing more damage to your skin and tissue.
